What I feel about the celebration of Savitri Bai Phule’s Birthday as Teacher’s Day

I feel, this is not an appropriate way to honour the services of this great lady. The lady has been very much more than a first lady teacher and still is a noble source of inspiration for all the individuals irrespective of the boundaries of gender and caste. We need to pave the ways of our own for the service of an individual, society, nation and ultimately the humanity as Savitri Bai Phule had done to fulfill the contemporary needs of her period. Any action in such a direction can be a real tribute to that noble lady. That is why, I believe in actions rather than cheap politics that has become a fashion these days among the politicians. The contemporary requirement of today is to be the real intellectuals not to be the part of despicable and corrupt politics.
